What to wear for a romantic date at home

So you have found the perfect home menu to woo your loved one, selected the perfect music, chilled the bubbles. But after weeks in loungewear, you feel a little confused about what to wear for a romantic night at home. The solution lies in dressing up in something head-turning, yet comfortable. Our Sahara dress in liquid jersey ticks all the right boxes, in a warm, flattering cinnamon shade, perfectly structured bustier which requires no additional underwear support, and ideal calf length to pair with chic mules. Did we mention the low V at the back, or the mid-leg slit? If you wanted a soupçon of sexy, this is the one. Alternatively, our Burnt Valletta dress is the cool girl’s answer to a stay-at-home date night. The tie dye print is fun and playful, and the bias-cut slip dress style a nod to the ‘90s, whilst the full length satin is luxuriously decadent and tactile. Not in the mood for a dress? Our Lido Blouse and Pants in delicious terracotta shade are the perfect in-between outfit for an elevated take on loungewear, with a luxe suiting touch that befits a romantic night in. Pair with a treasured gold jewel, and natural golden makeup for bronze goddess vibes.

What to wear for socially distanced cocktails

Depending on where you live in the world, you may be permitted to enjoy socially-distanced cocktails, or you may have to cheer via Zoom. Either way, a touch of sparkle will help you feel like a million dollars. Style tip: focus on a statement top as this will brighten someone’s screen, frame your face and lift your spirits. Our Multicoloured Stargaze Dress and Top feature gold, copper and turquoise sequin striping for that wow factor. Pair the top with a satin skirt or simply jeans, for a high-low outfit. The Galvan Aura Blouse in Atomic Copper has that warm, rose gold glow that suits any skin tone. Also available in iridescent sage, it is a modest, yet striking separate that will break the ice. Now talking of ice… time to mix yourself a Tucci-style Negroni or Picante Margarita. Between lockdown and dry January, you have certainly earned it.

What to wear for a park or garden date

You want to dress up for the occasion but it is still only February. In other words, it is, in a large part of the world, freezing. Velvet to the rescue! Equally chic, luxe and warm, velvet is our favourite Winter material. Whether you want to go on a socially-distanced walk with your loved one, sip Espresso Martinis in the garden, or simply dine by the fire, velvet will be the appropriate choice. Luckily the Galvan Signature jumpsuit in lush hunter green or aubergine velvet, combines warmth with flattering style. Equally our Winter Floral Wrap Dress features a luxe velvet devoré foliage motif, and a sensual V neck, combined with the comfort of an A-line belted wrap style. For a sleeker alternative, opt for the Blade Jumpsuit. In classic black, it has a cheeky sheer panel at the bust, revealing just the right amount of cleavage.

What to wear for a Galentine’s dinner

In recent years, Galentine’s has become a long-overdue and popular alternative for a non-romantic Valentine’s day. It is especially relevant right now, when many single people may live, or have formed a support bubble with a friend. Nevertheless, it is an opportunity to celebrate that friendship, and dress up for the occasion. It is often said that women dress up not for men or their partners, but for other women and their friends. So let’s test that theory. First, we think a jewelled or pastel colour is a refreshing choice at this time of the year. Tailored yet playful, our Eve jumpsuit in luminous peacock satin is a show-stopper. Perfect for cocktails and canapés at home, and dancing to your favourite Spotify playlist. Alternatively, our ultra-chic bias-cut Valletta satin skirt comes in bright cobalt, safari green and silver blue. Pair with a chunky knit and mismatched jewellery for an arty, yet elegant Galentine’s dinner outfit. Evoking a carefree sense of nostalgia, Our Lido Blouse is crafted from lightweight satin in crisp Granny Smith apple green. Wear with the matching Lido trousers for a confident yet relaxed head-to-toe look. Dressing up to stay in is such fun, you may never want to go out for Valentine’s day ever again.
